![]() ![]() ![]() Both of their campaigns involve NASA in some way: where the Senator believes NASA is wasting taxpayer money, the President is ready to tell the world about a new scientific discovery that will change everyone’s minds about the competency of NASA. In short, it centres around a political standoff between the President of the United States and a Senator who’s gearing up to become the next President. I’m a sucker for a space plot, so this was right up my alley. I picked it up on a whim while reorganising my bookshelf and, before I realised it, I was 50 pages in and ready to continue. Deception Point surprised me in its ability to captivate me immediately. They’re the types of books most people would glance over and set aside, purchased simply because the name Dan Brown was plastered on the spine. ![]() The other two books that are on my radar – Deception Point and Digital Fortress – aren’t as popular, nor are they ‘blockbuster’ books. More than anything, Dan Brown is known more for his Robert Langdon series than for anything else. Deception Point was one of those books that I didn’t have high hopes for. ![]()
